Liliana Castro is an entrepreneur and communication specialist with more than 15 years of experience working with companies, brands and founders. Founder & CEO of FES Agency and BURTON, and Co-Founder of Portuguese Women in Tech.

Her work connects communication with business strategy, particularly within the technology ecosystem. Liliana works with technology companies and their leaders to define their positioning, build their reputation and make complex ideas understandable and relevant to the people they need to reach.
Liliana sees communication as a management tool. She believes it should inform decisions from the outset, helping companies establish their place in the market and build relationships with their audiences.
Alongside her agency work, she brings people and organisations together through communities, events and shared initiatives. Her experience across Portugal’s technology ecosystem has shaped an approach grounded in listening, making connections and creating opportunities for collaboration.
As a leader, she values trust, empathy and autonomy. She believes that giving teams room to make decisions and experiment helps organisations grow while preserving their agility and close working relationships.
